My quilting group just resumed our meetings and we all were thrilled to be back together. It really is a fun break in the week to gab and sew with such fun gals. Our theme this year is: Finish it, dangit! Very appropriate.
Our family had a fabulous holiday and we are richly blessed.
By the way, my granddaughters finished their Christmas projects! I'll post pictures soon. They asked me not to post them at the time, as one of the mom's zoomed in on the project and was guessing! (The Fab Five all had a good time laughing about that one!) Their projects turned out to be a real work of art for each of them.)
{They were Christmas pillows with embroidery work and patchwork.} They are growing up so quickly, I treasure the time we spend together.
Bree has decided on a Major this week. She will receive an AA in Interior Design and a BA in Business Communications. Whew! Two years into school and it is all coming together.
Fab Five News: My granddaughters that live in Utah get together on Thursdays to quilt, cook, knit or whatever new skill we'd like to learn. Right now we are working on two Christmas projects. Jaidyn cranks up the Christmas music and we all rock out. Shhhhhh. They are surprises.
I love having them over.. They are constantly inspiring me and come up with the most creative ideas. Kalee and Allie are sisters and cousins to Jaidyn and Naomi.
{Fab Five is the name of our creative club. Jaidyn came up with the name and we all vote on keeping it. It stands for fabric and fabulous. We kept the 5 because we are hoping to have Kennedy, from California, come and join us for summer camp. She is only 4 and will have to get big enough to hop on a plane.}
Hi everyone,
I'm way behind in my blogging. I am now going to work from home, beginning next week and that should free up some extra commute time to keep this blog current. No promises. I am anxious to put up my quilting experiences and some of my projects. So many of my quilting buddies are sooo much better at this and I want to belong to their fabulous 'clubs.'
Aspen Grove is next week. Wahoo! I've spent some of my Saturday sorting through my projects. John's watching a football game with a friend and Jeff.I will try and download a few pictures from our recent trip to Washington DC. John earned the National Western Region Energy Manager of the Year Award and the state flew him there for a conference. It was quite an honor, although he would never say it. I tagged along and I learned a few new facts ,while visiting there. Like did you know that Washington DC (really Virginia) was the South!!! Because I view it as the North, I hadn't thought about it being the South during the war.Also, I thought the SMithonian was 1 place not a bunch....I also didn't realize how small the Oval office is or the rooms in the West Wing. We did have a ball. John was like a kid in a candy store. We rode the metro everywhere and the city bus system; we walked for zillions of miles; we toured at night and day, and we hunkered down exhausted every evening of our 9 day trip. Needless to say, I took quite a few pictures.... Don't worry. I'll only throw a few up.Have a great week.
Harrington Grandkids
ok. My goal is to get all of my grandkids pictures up on this blog with a little about their personality. I then will update new pictures in their place when enlightening events take place. Stay tuned. Still under construction (depending on my free time.)
